Dr. Pina Pejovic
President and Managing Director
Dr. Pejovic is President and Managing Director at Strategy and Insights. Pina has a strong background in program evaluation and performance measurement of public sector programs across Canada. She is an expert in developing evaluation and measurement frameworks and tools, data collection methods and implementation plans for various program evaluation studies. Most importantly, Pina is a quantitative and qualitative research expert, and has worked with several public sector organizations as Project Director. Her clients include federal, provincial, and municipal public-sector organizations and associations in health care, education, public health, occupational health and safety, community and home care, mental health, social services, training, and non-profit/charity sectors. While working with these clients, she has gained an in-depth understanding of the public sector’s organizational structures, policymaking and service delivery.
Pina’s previous work experience is wide and diverse. She was recently Senior Vice President and Toronto Practice Lead for Public Affairs and Program Evaluation at Harris/Decima. Prior to joining Harris/Decima, Pina was Vice President and Head of Program Evaluation and Performance Measurement and a key member of the Health Policy Institute for Ipsos Reid for five years. She also worked at the WSIB, a provincial government agency for 17 years, managing the Research and Evaluation Branch.
Dr. Pejovic is a specialist in research design and analysis and Program Evaluation. Pina has directed quantitative and qualitative research projects including an extensive and diverse portfolio of studies within the sphere of government and social research, public policy, analysis of social trends, and strategic analysis and evaluation of public programs. She is a strong advocate for the utilization of a performance measurement model that facilitates governance and accountability; allowing government agencies the ability to measure and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of their strategies, determine the gap between actual and targeted performance and determine organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Pina has a Doctorate degree in Sociology with a specialization in Quantitative Research Methods from York University, a Master’s Degree in Sociology, and an Honours B.A. in Psychology, also from York University. Pina is on the Board of Directors at Kinark Child and Family Services, and sits on the Human Resources Committee of the Board. She is also a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) and served on the Board of Directors for 3 years as Co-Chair of the Communications Committee, and member of the Advocacy Committee.
